Acer palmatum ‘Koto Maru’ Japanese maple has small leaves that start off yellow green in the spring with a touch of amber, maturing to a darker green by summer. Autumn brings a spectacular finish of bright red, orange and yellow hues. The compact stature makes it ideal for containers (with heavy winter protection and insulation) on the patio or deck, in the rock garden or any small garden space.
